Golden Opportunities Announced Proposal To Offer F Series Shares
Golden Opportunities Fund’s (“Golden”) Board of Directors has called a special meeting of shareholders on January 13, 2016 to consider the creation of the “F Series”. Designation of these shares will be as follows: Class A-F (SK), Class A-F (MB), Class I-F (SK), Class I-F (MB), Class R-F (SK) and Class R-F (MB), or such alternate designation as may be approved by the directors of the Fund.
The F Series offering is in response to recent changes in the regulatory environment and the request of Advisors and will, in all material respects, have the same rights, redemption features, tax credit eligibility and attributes as the existing Class A Shares, Class I Shares and Class R Shares. The F Series, intended for fee-based compensation models, will not pay sales commissions, trailer fees to sub-agents of the Fund or be subject to deferred sales charges (early redemption fees).
All of Golden’s existing share classes will remain the same and will continue to pay sales commission and trailer fees to sub-agents of the Fund. The existing share classes are currently, and will continue to be, available for sale without interruption.
The articles of amendment require the approval of the appropriate ministries and also prior to the issuance of the F Series, Golden will be required to issue an amendment to its Prospectus. Upon receipt of all necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals, the Fund anticipates offering the F Series Shares in January 2016.
