June 21, 2006

Release Date: June 21, 2006
DENVER, COLORADO–(CCNMatthews – June 21, 2006) – VCom Inc. (TSX:VCM) will be demonstrating its digital simulcast and WiMAX solutions at the SCTE show in Denver from June 21 to 23. This may be the only event of its kind at the show, with both VCom’s CableVista Edge Decoder and VCom’s VistaLynx Edge QAM being used to demonstrate a digital simulcast solution. The demonstrations will take place at the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) Cable-Tec Expo at VCom booth (#1753) and Mega Hertz booth (#356).

Cable MSOs utilize CableVista in their high-speed distribution networks to deliver a superior quality analog program tier and as a vital component of sophisticated digital video transport solutions for zoned ad insertion. This edge decoder performs MPEG decoding, analog modulation and upconversion for up to 24 NTSC/PAL channels in a compact 1RU chassis.

The CableVista edge decoder complements VCom’s Edge QAM product, VistaLynx which provides QAM modulation and upconversion capability used to deliver such services as true Video-on-Demand (VOD), and an increased number of digital channels. VCom’s CableVista and VistaLynx are key elements for the VOD and Digital Simulcast needs of today’s all-digital cable networks.

VCom’s hardware products incorporate embedded software developed by it to meet the complex requirements of next-generation, high-speed digital networks.
